Hey! Good Day!
My name is Pranshu and I’m a 23 year old musician/guitarist living in India. My musical journey began back in 2004 when my grandfather decided to gift me a little electronic keyboard on my birthday.
Little did he knew that this kids’ toy has been handed over to someone who’ll make a career out of it. I practiced a few popular children’s tunes on it, only to realize that it’s time go BIG! And that I needed a proper instrument!
Soon I could be seen playing traditional pieces on my 61-keyed Yamaha PSR-550 which quickly progressed to some easy classical music on my school’s Roland GW-8.
After having spent a considerable amount of time on keys (almost 10 years), one of my friends introduced me to the acoustic guitar.
Guess what? I got hooked up! Since then I’ve spent most of my time learning and enjoying guitar. Over the last few years, I’ve tackled mastering Flamenco Guitar, Electric Guitar, Bass, and even tried my hands at Music Production.
I’ve also been working with my friend Teemu from GuitaristNextDoor.com to create helpful guitar-related content for his platform.
The website you’re seeing right now is a venture aimed to share with you everything I’ve learned during the process.
What’s In It For You?
Harmonyvine was created to serve as a hub of information related to musical instruments and music production. Our aim is to become the ultimate resource for musicians and music enthusiasts all around the world.
Musicians will agree that unlike other products, personal taste and preferences matter much more in the case of instruments and studio gear. For those of us who don’t have the luxury of trying out different musical instruments or gear at a local store, it’s not only hard to make a decision but you might regret it later.
That’s where a lot of people resort to online research on various websites and forums, collecting personal opinions from first-hand users.
And that’s where websites like ours become a key factor in your decision-making process, providing streamlined and trustworthy information regarding musical products or any other queries on your mind.
The Process – How I Create Content
At this moment, all the writing, research, planning, testing, and editing is done by me. I might try to get some help from individual freelance writers in the future who will help research and put together some of the articles. But for now, I’m the researcher, writer, and chief editor of this website.
For the product reviews, I try to get my hands on the real products whenever possible. But being an army of one, it is not always possible.
In that case, I spend time visiting local music stores and talking to friends and other musicians. I also rely extensively on online feedback from real customers.
Supporting This Website
Every piece of content – review, guide, or curated lists on this site takes anywhere from 3-7 days to write. Nevertheless, all these articles are, and will be, completely free of cost for all my readers.
Still, staying on top of the latest musical gear and trends not only costs a lot of money, but is also a massive time commitment for me. So your support will allow me to continue to add more valuable resources, reviews, and guides to this site.
There are a few ways you can help me out:
Spread The Word
If you truly learn something new from one of my articles, or find a guide helpful, I want you to share it with your friends on social media.
Be it your friends, students, or with a community like Reddit or a Facebook group, tag somebody who might find the content useful. After all, I create content to add value to your musical journey, and I want to be able to help as many people as possible.
Every single like, share, tweet, or comment helps more aspiring guitarists learn something new and helps grow this site.
Use Our Links to Buy Your Gear
My sole purpose with providing reviews for gear and equipment is to give you decisive advise on purchasing your next piece of musical gear.
If you think my review helps you to decide if the product is right for you, consider purchasing it by clicking on product links on this site. I earn a small commission every time a reader buys through my links, without costing you a single extra penny.
Of course, you don’t have to buy these products online, a local shop is always recommended whenever you want to try the product before purchasing. But if you do, then buying though my links means a lot to me and it’ll help me continue to offer amazing content that you love to read!
